Megane
"Megane" was another Sundance film i caught. In Japan, Megane means glasses which made sense at the end when the main characters view was changed on this small island. She reminded me of me a bit. Wanting to be alone and do things by herself when really relationships are much more important. Some key things that stuck with me was "no to rush" which is so true. Why are we all in a rush? Also to "twlight" which is kinda like a meditation where was what most of the islanders do, all day. I loved the beauty and simplicity of this film. The Japanese culture seems so fresh, clean, pure and simple. I love it, their culture produces such quality. Ooh and my favorite part of the whole movie, if you get a chance to see is the morning salutation and dance they do in gratitude on the beach. It reminds me of a happy bird dancing.
